The Downtown Fiction have a knack for drawing up unforgettable tunes with a little bit of punk energy and a whole lot of dance floor swagger.

From their forthcoming digital release, Pineapple – EP due out Tuesday December 20th, “Get Right” packs a hummable hook, dreamy lead, and a slinky beat into one utterly undeniable anthem. Pineapple – EP is the perfect follow-up to the group’s Let’s Be Animals, released earlier this year. “Get It Right” has a cinematic sound that’s tailor made for movies as well.

You can practically see the American Pie cast walking along a beach to this! American Reunion producers take note. The Downtown Fiction will make you sing and dance, like all great rock bands should…

The Downtown Fiction are getting ready to unveil their new EP next month, and now we have the exclusive premiere of a new song from the release called ‘Happy (Without You).’

The ‘Pineapple’ EP follows the the Virginia rockers’ debut album, ‘Lets Be Animals,’ which featured their hit single, ‘I Just Wanna Run.’ Now the guys are ready to break new ground with their equally as addictive new tune.

“‘Happy’ is definitely an all-out rock song, which is a trend we’re seeing on our upcoming EP,” frontman Cameron Leahy tells Cambio. “These songs are head-bangers. Required volume at ELEVEN when you listen.”

The Downtown Fiction is currently on tour with The Ready Set through December 20, the same day as their ‘Pineapple’ EP hits stores and iTunes. Listen to ‘Happy (Without You)’ below and get stoked for the band’s forthcoming release to arrive in the coming weeks.
